As a Wandsworth resident for over 20 years what is disgraceful is this level of vitriol and draconian punishment meted out.

@wandbc Extraordinary. Why such draconian measures to punish @ZipposCircus a circus company whose highly skilled, hard-working cast showcase diversity and inclusivity, and provide access to entertainment for all? This from a council declared "Borough of Culture 2025". It's a disgrace!

As both circus lover and secondary school teacher in a large Academy (not the school mentioned), it was such a joy to read this tweet over on education channels - here's to circus everywhere and those that bring the magic into play. Much needed and appreciated!

I retrained @IOE_London doing a PGCE in Modern Languages for secondary education and now teach both languages in a large South London academy. It is a great privilege and a juggling act.

Inspired by the example of circus artists and performers like @Michaelaoconno6 teaching @NationalCircus, I decided to retrain as a teacher myself, in my subject area - French and Spanish.

I loved the people, the location (a stone's throw from circus friends) and it was interesting working client side when in the past (a very distant past) I had been on the other side as an auditor. However, I soon realised that a back office job was not for me in the long term.
