The Mahabharata isn’t a story of flawless heroes versus pure villains. Almost every major character has virtues and flaws. But the epic is equally clear that Dharma is ultimately judged by one’s choices when they matter most. 💯 - The Pandavas committed mistakes and faced consequences, yet they accepted correction and aligned themselves with Krishna’s guidance. Karna possessed extraordinary virtues - generosity, loyalty, courage, but knowingly stood with Duryodhana even after learning the truth of his birth and majorly participated in acts like Draupadi’s humiliation. - Karna’s temples, Karna Prayag, or later devotional traditions reflect reverence for his virtues; they do not override the Mahabharata’s moral verdict. The text honors Karna’s greatness while also acknowledging that he fought on the side of Adharma. The Mahabharata invites compassion for Karna, not the rewriting of its moral conclusion. 👍

In this Arjuna vs Karna debate, people needed to be reminded of something - Pandavas were no morally superior to Kauravas or Karna - I don't think there is any greater sin than trading your wife as an object in gambling as a slave to anyone... There could be no sin greater than that - Only reason Pandavas end up with winning side and believed to be good is because they realise their mistakes and follow Keshava's guidance eventually - Other side was too arrogant to do that and ended up losing the battle - Some see Karna as totally evil character and they look Mahabharatam from totally black and white lens... they think believe people identifying with morally grey characteristics of Karna is modern sub altern politics phenomenon - These people needed to be reminded that Karna has more centuries old (some even very very ancient) Temples dedicated than that for Pandavas - Karna Prayag is one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus... It is one of the Pancha Prayags - This is not a new phenomenon... Our religious traditions and our ancestors saw Karna with same benefit of doubt that modern people do - Stop projecting your purist interpretations of Mahabharatam on others

According to Vyasa Mahabharata, Karna’s greatest virtues were generosity (daana), loyalty and gratitude to Duryodhana, courage in battle, perseverance despite adversity, and keeping his promises. Despite these qualities, he knowingly supported Adharma, which ultimately defined his fate.

@Luffyebiw Absolutely, but a bit of a change. Karna was on the side of Adharma, even though he possessed several noble personal qualities. Not everything he did was Adharma. He genuinely had virtues like generosity, loyalty, courage, and perseverance.
