Luigi Mangione’s legal team mentioned in their latest statement that prosecution witnesses “have corroborated that Luigi was in custody within seconds of Altoona police arriving at the McDonald’s; that officers conducted a warrantless search of his belongings; and that the items searched were not in his immediate control.” That tells you everything you need to know about this case.

BREAKING: Luigi Mangione’s legal team just released a statement saying prosecutors gave the media sensitive crime-scene footage on Dec. 9 that was never shown in court and was introduced over objection. BREAKING: During Karen Friedman’s cross-examination, Officer Wasser testified that she and Officer Fox pulled over on the way to the precinct so he could transfer the McDonald’s bag containing evidence into her car while both of their body-worn cameras were off. She also testified she didn’t turn her camera on until she arrived at the precinct, where she opened the backpack and found the firearm.
