An excellent poster providing great information on the impact we have on our coastal ecosystems and the steps we can take to help fix the problem. Could this be used to spark some important discussions with your students? #Educ4750 #UoNTeach #SDG14

Check out the app Clean Swell. Great app for students to track their #CleanUp participation in their local environments. The app congratulates your clean up with badges for rewards. What are some other great apps for students? #UoNTeach #Educ4750 #sustainability

Thanks for sharing John, what a great teaching strategy to use in the classroom. Within the context of my unit, I will be incorporating the 6 thinking hats as way for students to try and understand different perspectives when exploring #SDG14. #Educ4750 #UoNTeach

Giving students' the opportunity to use different ways of learning will deepen their understanding of many topics. Thinking Hats has been used in my unit based around the creation of a Community Garden. Students will need to research, collaborate, and create #Educ4750 #UoNTeach

With ecosystems on the verve of collapse due to commercial fishing, overfishing is an import issue we have to face when trying to reach #SDG14. This Ted-ed video would be a great conversation starter in the classroom. #educ4750 #UoNTeach youtu.be/WNdR808jMSA

Somebody Swallowed Stanley by Sarah Roberts. A beautifully illustrated book that follows the journey of a plastic bag through the food chain. A great resource to use at the beginning of a lesson, with the underlying theme of #SDG14. #Educ4750 #UoNTeach

Originally created as a way to clean our beaches here in Australia, The Seabin Project now has "Seabins" in use all over the world. A great initiative to share with students. youtu.be/tiy7WQYQyhY #Educ4750 #uonteach #SDG14
