A decade ago, after class, I was surfing YouTube when I came upon this series. Intrigued by the title, I watched it & was disturbed by how much sense it made. The next day, I had a near-panic attack on campus at the implications. There was no going back. youtube.com/playlist?list=…

@LPMisesCaucus You libertarians could have been far more effective in moving that ball down the field, if you wouldn’t chimp-out every time Trump tries to prevent the CCP from going full genocide mode.

@LPMisesCaucus @shaunmmaguire That doesn't warrant rooting against America though. Protest, state your dissatisfaction, but actually cheering for America to fail is just counter productive. If America fails, I think it would be way worse for the Americans.

How did we get to the point Where so many Americans are rooting against America?

@LPMisesCaucus I assume you mean the escalation of other gulf states allied against Iran. If so, what's your point.

The Escalation Trap of War is the worst kind of Sunk Cost Fallacy. The idea that prior casualties is grounds for escalation only guarantees more casualties. This war was always a grave error, ground troops will only compound it further. No more war with Iran.
Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

A true display of American strength would be NOT taking the escalation bait. Don’t double down on failure by committing ground troops & increasing air strikes. Show the world we can still lead by restraining Israel & negotiating w/Iran to open Hormuz, restoring order is power.

@LPMisesCaucus Can someone from the unhinged wing of the libertarians tell me when war is justified? Was Jefferson justified with the Barbary pirates?

@ThomasEWoods @fierceasymmetry I'm firmly of the belief that the "woke Right" thing was a Zionist psyop to head off that very label being inevitably applied to the Zionists themselves.

We had to endure ceaseless lectures about an alleged "woke right" that said mean and edgy things (but mostly just dissented on foreign policy) The very voices who gave us these lectures are completely silent as their own side cheers on barbaric savagery

@DecampDave Countries that have the ability to shoot down warplanes which are bombing them are threats to the US & Israel

The Iranians shooting down American planes that were bombing them over their territory confirms they are a threat and that this war was necessary

A big debate in libertarian circles is whether or not its acceptable to work for a defense contractor and be active in libertarian politics. Like, can you help manufacture weapons of war and still hold yourself out to be a libertarian?

Actor Rob Schneider is facing EXTREME backlash after calling for America to reinstate the draft. Schneider feels that young Americans should serve at least 2 years for our nation. Critics say a draft is "cruel" and "forced patriotism." Is his idea "cruel" or do you agree? 🇺🇲

I fucking hate the “minimum wage is for high schoolers” talking point. A. No it isn’t, that’s historically inaccurate. B. Telling a kid to work hard and earn money the “right” way, then turning around and saying he deserves less just because of his age is bullshit. Pay should be based on performance. Nothing else. If you’re against raising the minimum wage, that’s fine. Make a better argument that isn’t belittling kids trying to work hard and earn something for themselves.

A lot of what we assume was created through legal process was just made up by the victors The Constitution wasn't legally ratified under the Articles of Confederation Judicial review doesn't exist in the Constitution the Supreme Court just made it up The 14th Amendment was "ratified" under military occupation in the South after Lincoln dumped half the constitution in the toilet Nobody cares, most of this stuff is celebrated at this point You can just ignore the courts, if you win no one will care

National Association for Gun Rights
Gun ranges, once lost, rarely come back. It is an often overlooked front in the fight to protect gun rights. Across the country, people are running out of places to shoot. This is a deeply local fight, driven by constant expansions of county laws and zoning regulations that slowly push shooting spaces out of existence. There is also another idea. Kansas recently passed the Motorsports Venue Protection Act, shielding racetracks from nuisance and noise lawsuits, especially from new developments built nearby. Situations just like this have led to the closure of many ranges. Maybe we should be exploring similar legislation for gun ranges? Give us your thoughts.

Kostas Moros@MorosKostas

San Francisco chased out its last gun store over a decade ago. If you live in that city and want to buy a gun, you must travel a similar amount of time. There's also no public gun ranges in the city. So more travel each time you want to practice.
