The rules around spending in football need a rethink.
Manchester Utd are in financial turmoil, no CL football, but can drop £180million+ on Sesko and Baleba after already spending big money.
Newcastle are the richest club in the world, got CL football, and are being outmuscled.

@LukeFacer @TransferChecker Have a look at how many staff we had on the books compared to other clubs. Double the amount in most cases, a completely bloated work force. The debt is serviced by the revenue we make! Which I’m not saying is good, but it doesn’t have a bearing on what can be spent.

I think that one was very subjective. I don’t have a major problem with it. But the first Fulham penalty and the Vinicius incident were major errors again. #WWFC

@MLeClercq12 Thats a pretty fair assessment. Would you trust a manager like Ten Hag to oversee that level of transition though? Like you said, the DOF and manager have to have a similar idea on squad sales and recruitment, which way round does that go?

@LukeFacer There’s not many I wouldn’t sell. I don’t think they all have bad attitudes I just think most of them aren’t good enough. I’d get in somebody as a DOF who can work with the manager to ID players to fit a style & who can competently sell players rather than keep them for years

@LukeFacer How do you not strip the captaincy publicly? It’s United, everything is scrutinised and public. It was the most obvious thing ever that Maguire couldn’t handle the captaincy. He could have taken it off him when he came in but he kept him as captain for a year 🤷🏻♂️

@MLeClercq12 Im calling it how I see it, that squad you have now, for right or wrong, shouldnt be putting in the performances they are. Ten Hag hasnt exactly got a good track record of signings either, using Anthony as a prime example of that. Dont feel he will be there end of the season

@MLeClercq12 He made the whole circus public in the summer over stripping Harry Maguire of the captaincy and gave to a sulky little mess who doesnt look to have any captaincy skills whatsoever. As for Sancho, i couldnt agree more. But airing your laundry the way he did always causes issues

@LukeFacer Harry Maguire has started the last 5 games & ETH only ever praised him. Sancho, on 325k a week constantly turned up late to training and was terrible when selected. How can a manager expect to change a shit culture that We’ve had for a decade now when he can’t impose standards?

@nickmoreton If sasa hadnt played all season because of fitness issues id understand. But he scored the winner against everton a few weeks back. Doc nicked a goal or 2 about 3 years ago, from wing back when the system suited him alot better
