@LukeGraham05 @GoNUbaseball Both statements could be true. (and saying our athletic department records are a source of truth needs an asterisk at times, trust me). NCAA had Wolfpack at 8 (can't be debated) and another source NC State used had them at 4. I'll take the NC State stat as it looks better. ;-)

Mike Glavine mentioned that the win over LSU may be the best in program history. In fact, it is the first time since the turn of the century @GoNUbaseball has beat a team ranked in the top-10. LSU is ranked No. 2.

@brodskyme @GoNUbaseball Yes, I’m sure they do a fine job down there, but my point was that the original information came from NU’s record books. They have it listed at No. 8 as does the NCAA. So that’s why I consider those wins outside the top-5. (And that’s very cool to hear!)

@LukeGraham05 @GoNUbaseball I'm pretty sure the folks at NC State Sports Info aren't "any old article." (btw, I used to call baseball games for RBB in the 89-91 timeframe - mostly color, the PBP guy was pretty good)

@brodskyme @GoNUbaseball I’ve done some more digging and per the ncaa website the losses to Northeastern dropped NC State from No. 8 in the nation to No. 22. Maybe just a typo in the NC State article you are referring to🤷‍♂️: ncaa.com/news/baseball/…
