The Devils have created a club song for its VFL/VFLW teams but it WON'T be what's used in AFL/AFLW in 2028. They've avoided "We're from Tasmania" as Richmond use "We're from Tigerland" in the same competition. It's the theme of a local club. Familiar tune but different words.

@chuqtas I reckon 10 councils on mainland Tas, each with 40-70k populations. Big enough to achieve economies of scale. No one or two big dominant Councils. Have strong ward structures in the regional councils to maintain local representation.

@LukeMartin1983 So start with merging King Island and Flinders councils into other councils? Oddly enough I think those are some of the only small councils that logically need to remain separate.

The answer to Tasmania having 29 councils is not to merge two of the largest councils into one super LGA representing 1 in 5 Tasmanians. How about we start at the bottom up… #politas
