@wxmjohn Yeah, one thing which came across last night was how much they cared about the club and community. Other clubs would be lucky to have them as owners. Still think they were given an unfair opportunity, but any club in their right mind would take it

@LukePower_5 Agree to a point but Rob and Ryan understand the need to generate revenue and tell a story. People are upset as its not their club. They have owners who are faceless entities funding loss making clubs who don’t have a passion for it. Bet FSG or Sir Jim would be a right laugh

No problem with Reynolds and McElhenney personally. They seem nice men, are doing a great thing for Wrexham, and are bringing eyes to the Championship. The fact they were given two hours to promote their club uninterrupted on a supposedly neutral broadcaster is the problem.
Daily Mail Sport@MailSport

Sky Sports allowed Wrexham a party political broadcast on Friday: Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's commentary was self-indulgent, boastful, and tedious - and no other club would get the same privilege trib.al/PptbRzy

@johnm5454 Last night's broadcast would be like us letting Wrexham write a two-page spread about how great their club is. It's not the same. I've got no problem with Sky Sports showing Wrexham games. They've done superbly and people want to watch them. But don't let them run the show.

@LukePower_5 Fairly? Why? They are a for profit organization. They are in business of selling advertising time. Much like you are using Wrexham’s name to drive eyeballs to your articles so your employer can sell advertising Sky Sports is doing the same.

@wrexhampool I mention that in the piece. But should it even be an option?

@johnm5454 True, Sky Sports are not the BBC. But surely they are supposed to treat all clubs fairly? If doing so is 'traditionalism' then I'm all for it

@LukePower_5 Supposedly neutral? It’s not the BBC. This is a case of “a dog doesn’t bark at a parked car.” Wrexham leads with innovation in media and the traditionalist seethe.

@wxm_afc I see your point, but we aim to be balanced and critical. Sky's broadcast wasn't - it just let Wrexham say whatever they like about themselves for two hours

@LukePower_5 Yet you and your page are milking it for all it’s worth. Just look at how much interaction it’s got compared to your other posts. You’re part of the problem. I understand that's your job but just even mention Wrexham and the traffic it brings is ridiculous.

@TheRoonMeister I mention those in the piece but they don't 'promote' their clubs in any way resembling this - they do actually give critical analysis

@LukePower_5 I have checked and you've never tweeted about neville and carragher promoting their clubs uninterrupted every week on a supposedly neutral broadcaster?

Final report and quotes from West Ham-Brentford. Surely Hammers fans are now starting to think about the possibility of winning this FA Cup thing, no matter how torrid the season has been. They're on song at the moment. dailymail.co.uk/sport/football…

West Ham-Brentford in the FA Cup. Seven changes for West Ham but still a strong side, with Pablo back from his calf injury. Only three switches for Brentford. The hosts are seeking their first quarter-finals since 2016. For Brentford, you have to go back to 1989.

Did some digging into Fabian Hurzeler's past after his Arsenal rant: 🪄Why he's more similar to Mikel Arteta than he'd like to admit 💥His history of clashes with other managers ⚽️The influences that have made him such a possession purist
Daily Mail Sport@MailSport

Why we shouldn't be shocked by Fabian Hurzeler's outburst at Arsenal: Brighton boss was a hot-headed midfielder and has gone to war with other coaches before...and he's no stranger to the dark arts himself! trib.al/qV8gUDQ
