Welcome Coach Hunter "Sarge" Bartlett – Richland Post 215's First Veteran Coach!
We are proud to welcome Hunter Bartlett to the Richland Post 215 American Legion Baseball family as the newest addition to our coaching staff—and our first veteran coach. Coach Bartlett will be the Head Coach of our Red 17-U Jr team assisted by former MLB starting pitcher Cody Morris.
A 2006 graduate of Spring Valley High School, Hunter earned All-State honors under the guidance of coach Charlie Wentzky whose son plays in our program.
He continued his baseball career at USC Beaufort, where he helped lead the team to the NAIA World Series, and later transferred to NAIA Cumberland University, playing under Hall of Fame Coach Woody Hunt. While there, his team set the Mid-South Conference win percentage record (19-2). Hunter graduated in 2013 with a degree in Business Administration.
Hunter brings not only baseball knowledge but also leadership rooted in service. He served six years of active duty in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant. His roles as an 11B Infantryman and 37F Psychological Operations Specialist took him around the globe, including a 2021 deployment in support of Operation Octave Shield. During his military career, he worked with USASOC (U.S. Army Special Operations Command) and SOCAF (Special Operations Command Africa).
Since 2025, Coach Bartlett has been an Assistant Coach at AC Flora High School under 7 time state champion Coach Andy Hallett, where he’s continued to mentor and develop young athletes.
His experience as a player, coach, and soldier brings a unique blend of discipline, passion, and leadership to the 215 program. We are honored to have him on board!
Welcome to the team, Coach "Sarge" Bartlett!
