Marathon’s world is brutal and does not want you to uncover its secrets. & that’s the point. Every aspect of the game is designed to tell you that you do not belong in this place. It asks you to claw its secrets from its cold dead hands. The difficulty is the ludonarrative.

@isolatedrook I actually do feel bad for anyone that never gave it a shot. The game is actually a lot of fun. I was on the side of "meh, looks ok" and made myself give it an honest try. Fell in love with it and now I can't stop playing it.

@ArcRaiderAlerts Another example of a company removing fun from their game. Arc is slowly dying. Endgame is boring. Non-forced wipes aren’t good enough to keep retention long-term. They need a 6 month wipe, with 2 month expeditions. Best way to keep it fresh for everyone.
