Just a reminder that McNeese State was only 9-5 in true road games this season.
If you don't understand the difference in playing at home vs on the road...then I'm not sure what to tell you. A single game (SFA Women beating McNeese) either way doesn't change that difference.

I’ve enjoyed seeing all of the discourse online the last few weeks, really all season, about the Southland Conference Tournament being held in Lake Charles. Who would’ve thought, it is possible for someone to win a Championship other than McNeese. SFA women beat McNeese yesterday, everyone on this app made it seem like that was impossible. That’s back-to-back Championships for Coach Bishop, by the way. I understand the discourse, but just remember, if McNeese had left, the SLC was going to likely collapse within a few weeks. Now look at where the conference is at. Also, SFA is part of the reason the tournament is in Lake Charles in the first place. It has been impressive to see how much better the Southland Conference has gotten over the last few years. The “buy-in” from member schools into basketball is really starting to work and pay off for the conference.
