Honesty and integrity matter. Today’s humiliating climb-down showed that the Conservatives know they can no longer defend the indefensible. It has never been more clear that Boris Johnson's authority is shot and he is unable to lead. Britain deserves better.

Keir Starmer, 10th September 2025: “As the right hon. Lady and the House would expect, full due process was followed during this appointment, as it is with all ambassadors.” Keir Starmer lied to the House. He called for others to resign over misleading the House. Resign.

WHAT?! Did I just hear this right from Labour’s Emily Thornberry? She was asked “Do you think this could sink the Prime Minister?” in regard to Starmer misleading the Public and the House that Mandelson had passed the Security Vetting when he hadn’t. Her answer? “No because he was reading from a script” and “He’s only a human being” What the hell did I just listen to??

@afneil The Guardian article makes reference to machinations around not letting Parliament know about this failed clearance. This obviously disturbed someone to leak the information to the newspaper. For once, I can say well done to the Guardian for breaking it in the public interest

BREAKING NEWS (with the potential to be massive): The Guardian reveals Peter Mandelson failed advanced security vetting before becoming US ambassador. He was initially denied developed vetting clearance in January 2025 - weeks after Keir Starmer had officially announced his appointment. Foreign Office was ‘encouraged’ to deploy a rarely-used power to override the recommendation from security officials. The Government promised total transparency on the Mandelson affair after MPs forced it to release of a batch of documents about the process. But nothing it has released reveals this startling fact. Indeed, Starmer has always insisted Mandelson was subject to 'security vetting, carried out independently by the security services, which is an intensive exercise that gave him clearance for the role'. Developing …

Let me get this right? Liz Truss had a similiar experience when trying to battle the blob and this happened. Fast forward to Labour in power and they've done exactly the same thing, yet by the powers of grey skull are still in power, the economy tanking, welfare up, energy bills up... do I continue? Where are the resignations? Oh yes, that's right, they are clinging to power...

This is peak clown world. On LBC this morning they pointed out the ridiculous contradiction: A 5-year-old is apparently old enough to decide they’re the opposite gender but a 15-year-old is too young to use social media. The people in charge of this country have completely lost their minds.

@afneil Even before the Trump war Labour were failing its own housing target by 8 years, mainly due to @UKLabour economic incompetence 🤷🏾 Labour so easily forget that they blocked many building projects whilst in opposition! m.youtube.com/watch?v=TxD0Hk…

That 1.5m homes target bit the dust long before Trump’s War broke out.
Nomaxone@Nomaxone

@afneil @kennels1 Andrew, this should be filed alongside the other massive @UKLabour @Keir_Starmer lie... That 1.5m homes would be built during this parliament, which they were no where near hitting by the end of February 2026. But I suppose Labour will blame this miss on the Iran war 🙄🤷🏾🤦🏾

The problem with big nuclear is the way we contract them. One every twenty years. @KathrynPorter26 has suggested we should book a programme of the South Korean ones and I agree. They should work out much cheaper and be ready faster as they are off the shelf practically. I'd add a dozen or more SMRs to build a baseload capable of exporting instead of importing.

I’ll let you into a secret: big nuclear power stations are hugely capital intensive. Our newest — Hinkley Point C — won’t come on stream until 2031 — six years late on original launch date. So can’t count to green jobs before 2030 (MIliband benchmark). When it is fully running it will employ circa 900 permanent positions. It’s also the most expensive power station of any kind in the world: twice over its original £18bn budget (2015 prices) at current £35bn (2015 prices). Around £50bn in today’s prices. For 900 jobs. My, my these ‘green jobs’ are expensive. And that’s if you count nuclear power as green. Here’s another secret. AI data processing is also hugely capital intensive. As well as energy gobbling. Not all the energy they use will be green because they require reliable dispatchable power — and renewables are not that. Also, just because you work somewhere powered by renewables does not necessarily make your job ‘green’.
ThickAsBrexit@AsBrexit

@afneil Nuclear is going to be huge. AI data processing centres (of which the energy requirement will be huge) aren't going to power themselves. We're going to see a shift in how our country works.

DOUGLAS MURRAY: IT’S TIME TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE TAKEOVER OF BRITAIN! He’s Had Enough. The British People Have Every Right To Defend Their Traditions, Holy Places, And Holy Days Without Being Branded Far-Right Extremists In a powerful and unapologetic exchange on Piers Morgan’s show, Douglas Murray strikes back against the constant barrage of insults and defamation directed at ordinary Britons who simply want to protect their own culture and heritage. He makes it crystal clear that the public should no longer silently endure being smeared for daring to stand up for what belongs to them. “The British public should not endlessly be putting up with being insulted and defamed. My belief is we have a right to stand up for our traditions and a right to stand up for our holy places and our holy days,” Murray declares with conviction. He then lays bare the outrageous double standard that has poisoned public discourse: “People will say the people who defend it are far right extremists, by the way something they would never say against the people, the other way around, who had defaced the Cenotaph.” This selective outrage is no longer tolerable. While British identity, history, and sacred symbols face daily erosion under waves of unchecked immigration and cultural replacement, defenders of the nation are vilified, yet those who attack its monuments are excused or ignored. He draws a firm line in the sand: Britain is being taken over, and the time for passive acceptance has ended. It’s time to push back boldly and unapologetically before it’s too late.

How many more people have to tell Lammy and Starmer that curbing our right to jury trials is a bad idea? Lawyers, MPs, victims and even two of the PM’s mentors have condemned his actions. Jury trials are a cornerstone of our criminal justice system. We must defend them.

Yes. I've been warning about this calamity for a while 7% of the UK pop. changed in just 3 YEARS thanks to the BORISWAVE of 4M+ people btw 2021-2024 This was the largest demographic shift in 1000 years In January, the first ripple of the Boriswave became eligible for PERMANENT settlement & BENEFITS Starmer knows this is disastrous and wishes to extend Indefinite Leave to Remain eligibility from 5 to 10 years However our weak & feeble PM is under intense pressure from his Labour backbenchers to keep eligibility at 5 years and extend it to the Boriswave ASAP However, even if ILR is extended to 10 years, Labour are offering people various shortcut routes to achieve ILR much earlier. In addition, Starmer's open border comrades (i.e. immigration lawyers) are promising to block this extension in the courts. Let's be clear: the majority of the Boriswave are low-skilled, low-earning migrants from the third world / developing nations. Allowing them to stay in the UK will be an economic and social catastrophe. The government - and any new government - must commit to blocking the Boriswave from settling in the UK. Indefinite Leave to Remain should be abolished. Clip from my monologue earlier this year:
Reform UK@reformparty_uk

If we don’t reverse the Boriswave now, the economic consequences will be catastrophic.

OUTRAGEOUS. I am fuming. Axel Rudakubana could have been prevented from brutally murdering those 3 little angels but social services did not want to offend or “look racist” due to his ethnicity This is down to DEI polluting the UK authorities institutions. And Starmer and his government had the audacity to come out immediately and use it condemn the “far right” (ordinary UK citizens he labelled as “far right”) and lock them up fo being angry about it online. Something drastically needs to change in the UK when it comes to Social Services, Prevent and other institutions using this “i didnt want to look racist or offend” excuse. It’s ended up in little girls being murdered. It’s excusing the rape of girls when it comes to the Grooming Gangs. Enough is enough. Those poor girls would still be alive. Their families and the girls that were injured would have been spared this absolute horror. My prayers, my heart is with them.
