You won’t stop until you get enough of #MichaelMovie, an absolute thriller of a movie that speaks to the human nature of Michael Jackson.
It’ll have you smiling throughout and tearing up when you need to and is arguably one of the best musical biopics. It doesn’t do anything new for a biopic, but its love, dedication, and passion towards Michael Jackson make it stand out.
Director Antoine Fuqua delivers a story that’s full of heart and brings to life a story that focuses on family and Michael’s straining, abusive relationship with his father. The pacing seems to struggle in its third act as it reaches a climax that leaves you wanting more.
Jaafar Jackson’s performance as Michael is unbelievable as he embodies his uncle mentally, physically and spiritually, with some scenes making it feel like you’re watching the real MJ.
Colman Domingo’s visceral, raw performance as Joe Jackson will be the talk of the year and is quite easily one of his best performances yet.
