You won’t stop until you get enough of #MichaelMovie, an absolute thriller of a movie that speaks to the human nature of Michael Jackson. It’ll have you smiling throughout and tearing up when you need to and is arguably one of the best musical biopics. It doesn’t do anything new for a biopic, but its love, dedication, and passion towards Michael Jackson make it stand out. Director Antoine Fuqua delivers a story that’s full of heart and brings to life a story that focuses on family and Michael’s straining, abusive relationship with his father. The pacing seems to struggle in its third act as it reaches a climax that leaves you wanting more. Jaafar Jackson’s performance as Michael is unbelievable as he embodies his uncle mentally, physically and spiritually, with some scenes making it feel like you’re watching the real MJ. Colman Domingo’s visceral, raw performance as Joe Jackson will be the talk of the year and is quite easily one of his best performances yet. Full review dropping tomorrow at @thepeoplesmovie

I’ve spent 15 hours on Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight playing through the story and doing some light exploration of Gotham and what the collectibles and the city have to offer. There wasn’t a single moment while playing this game where there wasn’t a smile on my face. 12-year-old me would be happy to know that Telltale Games have surpassed what I’d once consider the best Lego game, Lego Batman 2. It honours the legacy of Batman, mashing his iconic moments from various mediums into an original story that’s hilarious and fun to play through. The combat is an upgrade from Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and feels refreshing and ultimately feels like the perfect combination of the Arkham and Lego games we’ve come to love. There are some slight bug issues here and there, and with only 7 characters, they manage to run into some repetitiveness, but overall it’s a blast from start to finish with the biggest Gotham we’ve gotten in a video game that offers so much to explore even once you finish the story.
