What a crop of Coriander… Although none of it will be harvested due to thistle seed contamination from the next door farms environmental scheme which was dyke to dyke thistles, which went to seed and blew across and are causing rejections for ‘Dog Hair’!!!

Irrigation pretty essential on this sandy old land. Pretty dry out there now…..

@Adrian__Baker Tillett and Hague spot sprayer? How do you get on with it? Had the Techneat version doing some fields for me and seems to do a good job.

Picture doesn't show it enough really, but of 9 beds of onion trials, the only row not lost to bean seed fly damage had force seed treatment on. The rest without were eaten through April by the maggots.

This was one plant, assume this meets threshold🤣

‘Well sown is half grown’ is a pretty accurate saying and I don’t think there’s a crop that epitomises that more than Swedes. If you don’t have a good stand you’ll never get a decent crop. And this is a lovely stand! #Swedes @Kingston22W

I always liked spreading fertiliser, thought that would change when it was actually me paying for said fertiliser but still one of my favourite jobs. Especially with all the technology now, auto steer, Section Control, Flow control, Argus Twin and variable rate.
