#childrensmentalhealthweek2023 it is heartbreaking that this horrific earthquake has devastated areas where so many children already live with trauma created by war. We urge all who can to help without considering political boundaries and remember we are all one human family.

So many children in our troubled world never know what it's like to grow up in a peaceful, healthy and joyful community. We know that what we do is a drop in the ocean, but at least we can help some children to recover mentally, be more resilient and prepare for a better future.

We are delighted that anxiety & resilience training for child care workers of Altakaful Charity in Jordan last week was such a great success. It's great to be training face-to-face once again! Many thanks to our our trainers Dr Ghalia and Fahed who did such wonderful job.

On #WorldMentalHealthDay we want to remind all organisations working with children to train their staff to recognise the signs of #anxiety & #PTSD and to build mental health & #trauma awareness into their programmes. Children's mental wellbeing is so often overlooked by adults.

In #RefugeeWeek we're thinking of displaced children everywhere & planning more training to help you with those with especially traumatic experiences. Our materials, already in Spanish & Arabic, are being translated now into Polish & Ukrainian. Together we can make a difference!

In case you're wondering why you haven't heard from us in a while, we've been in Uganda for our first national conference for CATT counsellors 2-3 May. It was a great success & all working so hard with children learned from each other and improved their practice. Here we all are!
