After the anime expo panel I got the chance to meet Dan as well! I was able to tell him how special the game he created was to me and how it changed my life. I also was able to present him with some messages from members of the community showing their appreciation. I got to ask him a question I’ve always wondered; one I asked Satchely before as well, and that was “Did you expect DDLC to become as big as it did? And what was it like to watch it go viral?” Dan said that one of his friends actually asked him what he thought a successful launch would look like, and he said “around 100k downloads would be crazy.” But when the friend pushed harder asking for the craziest scenario Dan replied “seeing Game Grumps playing it.” Anyway, surprise ST reveal. I was cosplaying as Hank Hill with a Strickland Propane shirt so people could recognize me. Dan actually mentioned during his panel appreciating the more subtle humor of KOTH, so it was a fun coincidence. Thanks again Dan for taking the time to talk with me. I’m grateful for you and the rest of Team Salvato for all you do!
