@AriosSeeker @Actually_Tina Also Dawntrail is 2.6 years long, same as EW, however a majority of things are backloaded into the .5x, ShB was slightly shorter but had things like an actual fleshed out Bozja, and not everything crammed into the last part of the expansion

@AriosSeeker @Actually_Tina Savage was probably the best it has ever been, FRU was okay, OC was painfully mid and a shell of Bozja, Criterion was a standout improvement, Chaotic was DoA Speaking from a player retention standpoint, yes MSQ matters, but it doesn't make people log in and engage consistently

@Actually_Tina I figured you already covered the MSQ, and even then, the MSQ is a one time experience that lasts a few hours, yes, it was good, but that doesn't retain people

@Lassharleymari1 @Actually_Tina @TaigaLily_ The sky is blue and water is wet, that doesn't really affect what I said "7.5 is very good" when it has a good MSQ (2-3 hours) and then nothing else to bite into for months for the average player doesn't make it a good patch to come back to

@TaigaLily_ -Fanfest hype too -Devs openly acknowledged a lot of complaints and the CEO did a humiliation ritual -people coming back and realizing patch msq is quite good -7.5 being very good -and yeah WoW shooting themselves 4 times in a 3 week span

@dumbidiotf @xNanagi Skill expression doesn't come from 1-2-3, it comes from giving people the ability to adjust and play their job correctly, not breaking combo is something so fundamentally easy that the only people that can't do it are people who don't care to do so anyway

@ink_ika @Sindalf Brother, the "auto combat" that no one uses because it's like a 30%+ DPS loss and is meant for omega casuals And FFXIV has autocombat already, it's called Wrath Combo or RSR

@Sindalf Except they are adding more complex positionals on some jobs, and they aren't adding a WoW style auto-combo. Anyone who messed around with the PVP jobs even a little bit knows this has great potential. Simplifying some buttons for more unique mechanics is a good trade off imo

@Lunarianlight Famously, Void Magic has never caused harm or required sacrifices, please do not look at the Black Empire, Nerubians, Stormsong, Shadowmoon, etc Famously, Necromancy is never good, please ignore all races that raise dead spirits to speak to them culturally

@BaalTheWarlock The void, as far as we know, doesn't require sacrificing innocents and raising the dead, it's a purely self-detrimental dark power that has the ability to harm others, whereas the Malacrass stuff was detrimental to the Amani as a whole

The top tank by a long shot got 2 adjustments A minor nerf and then a straight buff to their major mechanic What did the others get? One got a bunch of adjustments to lower their damage and maybe increase aggro holding One got a few dps buffs And the last one Slightly more armor

@kanafel I don't know how WoW housing works, but I'm still shocked how much people defend FFXIV housing. Being forced to stay subbed every single month, even during content droughts just to keep it is... gross.
