@deyskool @TaraBull This came straight from the Obama admin. They made rules that nothing could be nominated for any type of award if there was not a prominent character of color, and also some type of LGBTQ person, and a couple of mixed race or gender. For EVERY SINGLE MOVIE OR TV SHOW.

@TaraBull Who are the people doing this race swapping ? What's the lore behind such filming? To what end?

Anne Boleyn (c. 1501–1536) was the second wife of King Henry VIII and Queen of England (1533–1536). Educated in Europe, she caught Henry’s eye while he was still married to Catherine of Aragon. Anne refused to be his mistress, pushing him to break with the Catholic Church, annul his first marriage, and create the Church of England to marry her. She gave birth to Elizabeth I but failed to produce a male heir. In 1536, she was arrested on likely false charges of adultery, incest, and treason, then beheaded at the Tower of London. Her marriage accelerated the English Reformation; her daughter later became one of England’s greatest monarchs.Opinion on Black actress (Jodie Turner-Smith) playing her in the 2021 AMC+ miniseries:It was intentional race-swapped casting in a non-documentary drama. Anne was a white English noblewoman whose appearance was well-documented and relevant in the Tudor court. Pros: Talented performer; can highlight universal themes of power and tragedy. Cons: Breaks historical immersion in a real-person story set in a racially homogeneous era. It feels like modern ideological casting over storytelling accuracy. Artistic license is fine in fantasy/musicals, but less so in grounded historical drama.

Historical accuracy in adaptations of true events matters because history is a record of what actually occurred, not a vehicle for contemporary social engineering. This is why replacing White historical figures with Black actors in true event adaptations is wrong. History records specific people, places, and ancestries as they were. Deliberately altering visible racial traits (European/White figures recast as sub-Saharan African/Black) in fact-based dramas distorts that record for ideological reasons. Key Problems: 🔹️Falsifies evidence: Portraits, DNA, texts, and archaeology show figures like Anne Boleyn or medieval European royalty as Northern European. 🔹️Race-swapping ignores this without basis, unlike minor creative liberties. 🔹️One-way asymmetry: Changes almost always whiten-to-Blacken Western history; the reverse (e.g., African kings as White) rarely happens. 🔹️This isn't "inclusion"—it's selective rewriting to match modern demographics or equity narratives. 🔹️Misleads audiences: Visual media powerfully shapes perceptions, especially for children. It creates false impressions of pre-modern European or American demographics, eroding understanding of real migrations, population histories, and contexts. Undermines trust: Treats history as malleable propaganda rather than evidence-based inquiry. Legitimate diverse histories (Moorish Spain, African empires) get overshadowed by forced anachronisms. Inconsistent standards: "Color-blind" casting is claimed, yet race is rigidly policed elsewhere (appropriation debates, minority casting). It often feels tokenistic, prioritizing skin color over merit or accuracy. Exceptions: Pure fiction, clear alternate-history disclaimers, or gaps in ancient records allow flexibility. The issue is systematic, unacknowledged replacement in "based on true events" works.Bottom line: History's strength is confronting reality as documented, not retrofitting it for 21st-century politics. Accurate adaptations (or honest fiction) respect the past and audiences; revisionism cheapens both.

@w_terrence 83% of the country across all races and parties want voter ID to ensure our elections are legitimate. Your ratings are laughable, as well as your ridiculous claims. Funny how Kamala didn’t win a single state with voter ID, so cheating is a MUST for DEMS.

@CrazyVibes_1 Ham chunks or bacon slices with salt, pepper, and a tiny bit of garlic or onion. This is southern style. Veggies with a little glisten on them have tons of flavor.

@Sassafrass_84 Absolutely true. Those saying after 2 are talking about later in history. 50’s - early 70’s, definitely true. At 10, “Do you know where your children are?”, at midnight, we got the High Flight poem and the National Anthem, followed by a test pattern until AM.
