A few updates are coming to the Hytale account platform, starting with the one a lot of you have been asking for. Gifting launches this week. You'll be able to buy Hytale for your friends, it's one of your most requested feature for the site and it's almost here. We're also adding a brand new cape as a thank you for keeping your account secure. Anyone with authenticator app 2FA enabled will get it automatically when it launches, and if you're already enrolled there's nothing you need to do. Want it but haven't set up 2FA yet? Enable it on the accounts page, and the cape will be ready for you to wear the moment it drops. Finally, Sign in with Hytale is on the way. Soon other apps, services, and platforms will be able to offer your Hytale account as a login option, so the same account you already use can work in more places. Thats not all, even more coming soon that we cant wait to show you!

Rendering team tripled in size and are working on major architectural changes to keep improving the performances. Its not like I can pull artists and gameplay / tools developers on this though. This is very complex work that requires deep understanding and experience. We have the makers of Sodium and Voxy in our team, I’m sure we will be able to do great improvements! There are also major changes to the server side happening that will improve performance as well. Its an act of balance too, if we were to entirely focus on performance the game wouldn’t go forward at all, end of day we have a long road ahead of us! That being said, most people are having good fps if they set the right settings, rendering distance is where performances tank quite heavily on some machines.

As promised Update 4 is now live in the launcher, server, and downloader as its own standalone patchline. This is the first step in the versioning changes we mentioned, and will help smooth the transition into Update 5 next week.
