I learned this the hard way in my youth.
Working late, downing coffee and energy drinks to push through the night, maybe you get a couple good days of productivity, but you end up sacrificing the rest of the week, or worse, getting sick and crashing.

I think if you REALLY wanna have art creation as your job, an important thing you have to learn to do ( Something Im still learning & practicing ) is knowing how to be kind to yourself. I.e. Listening to your body when you KNOW you're tired or need breaks. Recharge!!

If so many big artists are saying it, it must be important.
Posting almost every day will burn you out. Following trends will burn you out. If an artist is telling you to draw for yourself it's because they've already experienced how drawing for the algo kills your love for art.

I wish big artists actually gave useful advices instead of saying “just draw for yourself bro” over and over again😞 Like, why they never tell people that they should post almost everyday? Why don’t they tell people how to utilize trends and how to make your OCs presentable?
