Yesterday was fully dedicated to advancing conversations around security, governance, and youth inclusion.
Following my participation at the Stakeholders Engagement with the Lagos State Police Command, I proceeded to serve as a Panelist at the Youth Electoral Participation & Governance Symposium 2026, hosted by EleniyanCares Foundation in partnership with the Lagos Youth Development Institute (LYDI), held at MRC Auditorium, LASUCOM, Ikeja.
I had the privilege of sharing the panel with the Youngest Executive Chairman in Lagos State, Hon. Vinod Ganiyu Obasa, as we engaged on the critical role of young people in shaping electoral outcomes and governance.
We remain committed to strengthening youth participation, deepening democratic engagement, and contributing meaningfully to nation-building.

Today, we actively participated in the Stakeholders Engagement organized by the Lagos State Police Command under the leadership of the new Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, as part of their weeklong activities marking the celebration of Police Day.
At the engagement, we presented key concerns and pressing issues affecting young people, particularly as it relates to security and the need for more proactive, community-driven policing across Lagos State.
We also acknowledged the notable progress made by the Command, especially their openness and willingness to collaborate with relevant stakeholders in building a safer and more secure environment for all.
As representatives of the youth constituency, we reiterated our commitment to contributing our quota through strategic initiatives such as the Back to Street Initiative and other advocacy-driven projects aimed at fostering peace, trust, and engagement.
Furthermore, we strongly implored the Command to prioritize the implementation of the Lagos Youth Advisory Council and ensure the statutory inclusion of youth representatives in Peace and Security Meetings across the state.
Together, we can build a more inclusive, responsive, and youth-conscious security framework for Lagos.
