Shout out to my GP - when I had a lump they gave me a same day face to face appointment and then 2 week wait referral to breast clinic. Excellent care from @HaringeyNCLICB and @NHSHomerton - pockets of amazing care in a struggling system

Why are so many young women dying from breast cancer?

On systems dynamics "you've got to have quite a change in #mindset of Analysts, from receiving a brief and responding to questions, to being the one who asks the questions of clinicians & operational teams" important words by Stacey Croft @Strategy_Unit #haca2023

@RachelBurnham I have- including people telling me that if I want to get more senior I need to learn to get on with it alone! My current job is bucking the trend though - one of the things that makes me question what I've been told before

@LydiaBenedetta I haven’t found this to be the case, but can see why it might be the norm…

So proud to be at @RCPhysicians celebrating my sister's MRCP ceremony. A huge effort to get to this amazing milestone. We are so proud of you @ClaraSalice

@minoritisedNHS Completely agree- we just have the culture that everyone needs to become hardened and tough it out whatever faces them! And showing vulnerability is seen as "needy"...

@Abi_Rimmer The best I have seen is @Dr___Ali - a fierce advocate for trainees whilst working in partnership with all other professional groups

Consultants of twitter - I know you have far more important things to do but...has anyone done work to improve things for the trainees that rotate into their department? If so please get in touch, I have a favour to ask (about 300 words) Thank you! Arimmer@bmj.com

Are men (or anyone) who can't accept help and support the right leadership style for this type of role?
david nicholson@DavidNichols0n
I think this is very important but quite difficult to do ,when trying to do this in the past we found newly appointed CEOs were least likely to welcome support particularly men for some reason. I would encourage all newly appointed CEOs to take up the offer

I’m an NHS doctor who codes looking for a full-time data science job, preferably in the healthcare/ mental health / neuroscience space. Want to start asap (realistically, early 2023).
Anyone know someone who knows someone?

.@Alannobbs supported so many of us in the NHS through his career in leadership development - he had the skill of making so many of us feel he was personally looking out for us.
