Things you can do to help: 1. Wear a mask. In every public setting. 2. Reduce travel as much as possible. 3. Explain to your friends and family how masks work to prevent spread of airborne illnesses. 4. Send a lot of love to your disabled friends, cause man, we are not ok.

If you want to start deconstructing propaganda, then ask yourself how many superhero movies you saw made after 9/11.

This simultaneously feels like the time right after 9/11 and the run-up to 2016.

@SithL0rdJarJar Oh absolutely valid. See also, homes with kids, other dogs, etc. Especially if the new owners also don’t understand dogs lol (which also happens way too frequently) 🙃

I always think it’s funny when people I know, and who know I’m a huge dog person, expect me to get excited when they get a dog and instead my reaction is often “are you sure that’s a good idea?” because I fully believe *most* dog owners probably shouldn’t have a dog tbh

Hi, this is very important information everyone needs to hear. Test on the 4th day of symptoms. “New variants may cause differences in [the] timing of viral load. It may affect the timing of when tests may be the most optimal to detect the virus.” abcnews.go.com/Health/wait-da…

In 2023, being human is both disappointing and corrosive to the self. In Ontario, COVID wastewater signal has been rising for weeks. The virus is novel, which means that the long-term consequences of infection are still being discovered, and there's been lots of bad news. (1/4)

Imma say something controversial: We talk a lot about AI and tech replacing people in the arts, but it’s also going to replace people in medicine. And unless more medical professionals take the time to advocate for lower healthcare costs for all, this will be the reasonable

Amazon is now offering chat medical visits (not even video) with physicians and NPs for $35 cash if you think you have COVID. Or a yeast infection. Or need birth control. How is this even considered healthcare? And why is it less expensive than my copay for my $700/mo BCBS PPO?

So in the last few days we learned that the virus persists in immune cells and that Covid caused the hepatitis scare, and kids are still in schools being force infected with this virus.

how rich people are protecting themselves from COVID, a thread: 1. Cue COVID tests: at home PCR level testing that accounts for new variants. if you test positive, you can get treatments like Paxlovid through their app.

Has anyone put together a toolkit on how to plan and teach a Covid mitigations workshop at a local library (or a church or school)? I feel like free community workshops would be such a good way to teach the stuff we know. If anyone has done one, can you share what you did?

Yeah, so. It turns out you can only reinfect people with COVID a certain number of times before they stop believing it’s over. Which is what I said would happen. In 2021. But y’all wanted to do it this way, ok thanks Biden

It’s amazing how big of a difference communicating your needs can make instead of trying to manipulate your partner into giving you what you want and completely ignoring their needs.

Josh and I have been married for 2 years as of yesterday and I take a lot of pride in the fact that our marriage, while not perfect, is by far healthier than any of my parents’ relationships ever were. Or my grandparents’ for that matter.
