@MichaelRosenYes she also used to talk about (what sounded like) Annika's midden (for a mess) which we thought she'd made up, but Annacker's midden is in the Scottish National Dictionary now it seems, so it wasn't just her

@MichaelRosenYes "Come here with your eyes", my gran used to say when she wanted one of us younger folk (a.k.a. weans) to read a label for her if she was wearing her distance glasses rather than her reading glasses... I still say it to my mum in fun, though we both now need reading glasses too
