I have been released from Malé Custodial after 11 days of detention (Atholhuvehi 3 days, Dhoonidhoo 8) for exercising my fundamental rights and protesting the release of the detained journalists, @MohamedShahzan and @MrLeevaaan. I want to thank everyone who called for my freedom, especially @MohamedNasheed, @evattey, members of @MDPSecretariat, Twitter community, and the general public who raised their voice demanding justice. Thanks to my legal counsel @Imthiyazfahmy, @AbdullaShaairu, @raishan2235 and other attorneys who were appointed and attending to me during this time. Their impeccable representation and perseverance got me through this period. There aren’t enough words to appreciate how grateful I am for everyone. I will continue my fight for press freedom and freedom of expression. Free Shahzan! Free all political detainees! ♥️🇲🇻
