If they are truly struggling with diet and exercise alone a GLP1 can make the difference. Not sure it should be step 1 though.

Anti-GLP1 Karens would rather you were 100lbs overweight instead of using GLP1s because there is a 4% chance of you having osteoporosis.
Seems like it would be easier to just encourage people to get more calcium and Vitamin D.

@Lynchy_LFC @rorynotsorry Honestly, if it’s really bothering you and nothing else has worked, I see no reason not to use every tool available. I started out needing to lose about 40lbs, which wasn’t crazy. At one point I even lost 20 w/o glp1 but gained it back. It’s been a game changer for me.

Sometimes people ask some really good tough questions.
First of all, do not take my advice... please talk to professionals.
I do not want to encourage anyone to do anything, but its my belief that GLP1s are safe and effective.
I will say that I know quite a few people that have used GLP1s for similar amounts of weight and not a single one of them regretted it... however this is a not a representative sample of the population. I also know people who are 20lbs heavier than they would like who live happy fulfilled lives.
I suggest you consult a medical professional and have a discussion with them.

All the people I know taking GLP1s just like it back on as soon as they come off. Lots of people I know taking them only need to lose 20 or so pounds. They should even be on them imo

when most people say "but but but lifestyle" in any GLP1 discussion, what they mean is they:
want to empower the person to make healthier lifestyle choices and to lose weight by entering into a calorie deficit themselves...
... after all, it only takes is a bit of willpower and determination, right? and these people just need to give it some welly and they'll be losing weight in no time rather than taking the easy option of the drugs.
Now ask the same person, how to sustainably achieve this.
My post about the morbidly obese patient who lost weight on Mounjaro, unleashed a lot of "lifestyle first" comments.
So, I'm asking them - what are you doing to achieve the above? What do you say to your patients? How do you support them on this journey? And how would you scale this?
Also, why has every lifestyle intervention RCT never shown sustainable / durable weight loss?

I personally think it is time Liverpool looked for a new manager but I also respect what Arne Slot has achieved. Personal attacks on the man as an individual is an absolute disgrace and goes against everything YNWA stands for. Yes, he has made decisions I don't agree with and at times they make me angry but so called Liverpool fans having a go at the man as a person is absolutely out of order. I think it is time he now moves on because he cannot get the best out of the team and I don't think he can regain that belief from his players. They look disinterested and lacklustre, which is also a sad indictment on the players also. But respect what Arne Slot has achieved, wish him well (if you do want him to move on) but be respectful. That's my view anyways.
