Love to travel. Spent some time in Hong Kong before the handover. Terrible sidewalk crowds that made way for my husband but not for me. Started carrying an umbrella under my arm with the pointy end forward. Amazing difference. Loved Hong Kong. Would like to go back. ❤️

@MrsDenAsaan When I was in Rome, a guy tried to pick pocket my crossbody purse on a crowded subway. I slapped his hand and stamped his foot. He ran. Other than that, I loved Rome. 😉

A 3,500 year-old Egyptian glass cosmetic jar with two little duck heads! 🦆❤️ It belonged to a lady called Merit. Glass was a relatively new material at that time, so it would have been a precious possession. From Merit’s beauty case, Theban tomb TT8. 📷 Museo Egizio, Turin. #Archaeology

@RebellionJason Apple juice not withstanding, how cool that he is already using a computer. The tech gene must have been passed on!

Spacebar disaster averted. After forensic examination I detected traces of apple juice of the type favoured by my son. It had been spilt and then wiped up. So I took the risk of dropping one drop of water in the area and repeatedly working the keyboard, then absorbing up said 'water with some dissolved juice' with a paper towel. After repeating this four times, it now appears to have defeated the tackiness of the space key and is working fine.

Jason, The Modern Knight, discusses Medieval hand carts. He says the wheel was made by a wheel rite. The Science Channel just had a program about making old wooden wheels with modern tools. Wow, wonder how they did that with Medieval tools. youtu.be/EWjQ230ZJao?si…

This is such an interesting video. Here in the US summers, we have Farmers Markets. Local small farmers and gardeners bring their veggies and home baked goods. Local artists join in. Lovely to think of their Medieval background. youtu.be/PvR8E8Qk4Vk?si…

Ah, life on the edge of the Great American Plains. A blizzard last weekend and 91 deg F and sunshine this weekend. Around here the saying is "If you don't like the weather, give it a minute, it will change."

One of the things I enjoy most about Modern History TV is hearing about ordinary people. Most of our ancestors weren't Lords or Ladies. Medieval people were mostly just like us with different technology. youtu.be/LRwwXxhXdHU?si…

A very interesting and comprehensive article by James G. Clark in Medieval World Culture & Conflict Magazine, Issue 21. Written histories played a much larger part in the Medieval world than listing facts. It provided people with a larger view of their place in world. The Church played a major role. But that means that histories have to be taken in context too.

@RebellionJason Wow! In the last video, SilverMoon was too. With all your horses, I'll bet you have a lot of happy birds. Tons of excellent material for Spring nests!

It's snowing with 50 mph winds today. Our Spring didn't last long. What to do? Stay inside and watch the Modern Knight pushing his handcart through his Green Woods and patches of Bluebells. Next best thing to real Spring. youtu.be/RlcuPPPXY3w?si…

Tonight my Z Fold 7 slipped out of my pocket and fell on a tile floor. Not a scratch. Works fine. Don't even remember the brand, but my Kevlar case was worth every penny. Highly recommend Kevlar.

@RebellionJason Lord of Blackthorne is an enjoyable read on so many levels. One favorite is the quirky and sometimes mysterious characters. Their adventures are fun to follow.

My latest novel Lord of Blackthorne is available as a physical book, e-book and audiobook wherever you buy your books. Here's an older video of me on Ghost trying to read some of an earlier book I wrote, but it in the wind. youtu.be/KtU9EFD-1Sg
