@Lookinupatstars Tell her it that in the great scheme of things, this year’s grades will eventually fade into insignificance. I took 8, failed one and only got a top grade in English (1971). Since then I gained a degree, qualified as a journalist and became mayor of my home town. All will be well

My daughter didn’t get the GCSEs she was predicted (across the board, by 1 or 2 grades 😩). She worked really, really hard too. She’s upstairs crying. What do I say to her?!

@1chriswebber Right hip was replaced with something comprising metal and concrete on April 16th. So most of me was mayor for a year but my new right hip only did a month! I am recovering well - still a little bit limpy but pain free xx
