The format was perfect too. All four ranked rules were featured, with qualifiers and playoffs for each, spread over several months. That kept the hype alive and gave players time to practice. Since it was online, anyone could join in, without lottery systems or scheduling issues.

I share Melon’s sentiment deeply. As a European player I get why we’re neglected by Nintendo. Splatoon isn’t as big here as in Japan or the US, so our playerbase is smaller. But why can’t Nintendo host something like Gachi King at least once a year? It seemed like a huge success.

I’ve honestly been lost trying to decide what to do on Splatoon for a while now. Squeezer is fun and im very good at it, but playing it means i potentially lose the opportunity to play with teams or specific comps, since squeezer feels so comp dependent

Don't reeeally want to do it on Sunday instead tbh. I did an interest poll the other day and Saturday had significantly more votes since it's easier for eu to stay up to play the tournament, which I value a lot. Sadly though, this means there prob won't be a 4v4 until April...
