@robblackie The greens have always been a thorn in our side when it comes to disillusioned Labour voters however they have only picked up momentum after that by-election win. We could definitely take votes from them with clear messaging over policies that would appeal to them

Ed Davey thinks that there's not much that can be done about the Liberal Democrats losing votes to the Greens in urban areas. This is utterly wrong - and a sign of something gone badly wrong that he is saying this.

🚨 YOU COULDN’T MAKE THIS UP 🚨 This is the problem with Reform UK candidates. Joshua Kim wins in Blaenau Gwent Caerffili Rhymni… and when the returning officer goes looking for him to announce the result, he’s nowhere to be found because he never expected to win and was still at work. 😭 He reportedly arrived 45 minutes later after the hall had already started being reorganised for a football match. And this is the party asking people to trust them with government?

@THE_Chris_Evans Been some wacky results though, e.g. loosing seats by only a handful of votes to reform. Green / Indy on the ballot paper has always been a thorn in the Lib Dem’s side which is costing seats

So far it's looking just as I expected with regards to the Lib Dem performance. Consolidating in the councils within our held constituencies but failing to make significant progress elsewhere.

@charliemansell @ElectionMapsUK The thing is once you’re in control or run a council - you get blamed for anything and everything. Reform haven’t got seats to hold, once people find out they break their promises they will loose their seats again. Can’t get complacent in politics

@ElectionMapsUK Gosport and Hull may possibly be places where the LDs had built a long-term vote part based on a Reform demographic but started to lose it when Reform developed as a full party

@ElectionMapsUK The warning came when they lost the by election to reform earlier in the year. I even commented to one of their councillors that’s a wake up call as they had controlled the council for a number of years and that to hold on to their seats they had to get to work. Not surprised

@Stallulah2 @SirStigOBE @BladeoftheS When you talk about them as ‘wealth creators’ which is what I think you’re referring to explain why the likes of James Dyson - staunch brexiteer moved everything offshore ? Thought he was all in favour of British jobs? They will always screw you over for more profit

@fionasins_ @libdembounce Hull had always been a battle to get it to overall control, there was only one seat the Lib Dem’s lost badly there, the others were only less than 100 votes in it. Disappointing but they will still run the council.

@JamesBella29306 @Redheadarts @BotFinderUK That’s the difference between yourself and a Liberal Democrat. He wouldn’t throw milkshakes on you for you disagreeing with him but would listen to your concerns if he represented you. Grow up and learn actually what politics is about, you can agree to disagree we are all human

If you are concerned about illegal migration, when you vote tomorrow, keep this in mind. Both the Conservatives & Labour said they would stop the boats and didn't. The Liberals don't have a plan. Greens want to legalise it. ONLY REFORM HAVE A CREDIBLE PLAN TO STOP IT.

@GBNEWS Brexit was a fantasy of the grass is greener on the other side with the leave side saying we could get our cake and eat it which was never going to happen. Those that voted were asked stay or leave, only for exactly what the experts who they were told to ignore were correct.

@RazerWithAKnee So the house price was x5 if you were on a single income or x2.5 on a dual income living in a different era. Now the average is x9 if your on your own or about x5 if your partnered.

@RazerWithAKnee Good for you. You clearly had some money to do that and houses were max 3x the annual salary. Now they're 9x the annual salary and most people are paying well over half their monthly pay on rent. You had it better. End of story.

@RazerWithAKnee That is because it’s based on the average cost of a household in the UK. Yes there are cheaper areas where it’s more affordable but really depends on what and where. Personally wouldn’t want to buy in a shit area

My daughter bought her house in her 30s 4 yrs ago Her house, £130k was 4x her salary. 9x is just crap that the media put out. You've been duped. If she was trying to buy a house she couldn't afford (ie £275000) then it would be 9× her salary. Who buys something they can't afford?

Let's all laugh at Reform. Something to amuse us over the weekend: Umesh Kumar tried to stand as a Reform UK candidate in Heston West and as a Liberal Democrat candidate in Heston East in the May 2026 Hounslow Borough election. He was nominated as a Lib Dem candidate in Heston East AND also as Reform UK candidate in the neighbouring Heston West. Mandy Skinner, the LB Hounslow Chief Executive, who is the Returning Officer for the borough council elections, ruled that he was validly nominated to run in two wards. But as candidates are not allowed to run in two wards he was required to withdraw from one. As Mr Kumar has failed to withdraw from one of the two wards, the Returning Officer ruled that he has withdrawn from both wards. So yeah. Both Reform and The Lib Dems are -1 on their list of candidates for the upcoming May Council Elections. 😂 hounslow.gov.uk/downloads/file… hounslow.gov.uk/downloads/file…

@libdembounce Just think how many by-elections there are going to be when reform and greens win seats they didn’t expect or the councillors don’t turn up for 6 months or they don’t do any case work or fulfill their promises. Reform from last year have lost 10% of those elected already.
