Happy new year to you all! I thought I might brave this storm and give a call out this morning. Normally, I would have been on @NWFusion to wish them all well, but unfortunately my hotspot has died. No more digital for me for a while..

Just set the #icom back up in the bus, had a lovely chat with an old friend (M0DEF) Garry who has been part of my radio journey since I was 14 years old. Now, scanning the frequencies for further signs of life. Are you about @G5DOC ?

Having a mast base installed next week in preparation for the new home base plan. Toying with the idea of a vertical HF antenna for a change, but I will also need the 2m/70cm white stick up there so may not be room!

Time to unbox the #icom705 #hamradio

Just purchased an #icom705 with some extras. Next a mast and an alloy scaffold pole for the house. I am determined to get back into the hobby as I love to #ragchew !
