Think of how challenging it might be at 8 yrs old to talk about something only you in the class do... something that sets you apart in your school day... to not just all your peers but a bunch of adults too. When you know you're really good, you stand like this and own the room.

Grade 7s @MACEaglesLondon got to put their fur trading skills to the test! Unaware of the true value of their items until the very end, ‘European’ & ‘First Nations’ traders negotiated with each other to try to get the best deal on several trading missions. @staceypungitore

Just a regular Monday at @MACEaglesLondon... numeracy made accessible by the SmartBoard shared to an iPad via a Google Meet. Written work made accessible via a CCTV. Expensive? Yes. But every kid with a visual impairment has the human right to learn alongside their sighted peers.

Ss chose 2 cards and identified if the card they chose was qualitative or quantitative data. They sorted all of our class profile cards into a Venn diagram. We ended each sort by explaining what the data in the Venn diagram is telling us @MACEaglesLondon

Just a few of our strictly paper structures from our challenge with @ECharbonneau6 to hold at least one textbook - these 7’s worked hard, we’re determined and thrived on the competition @MACEaglesLondon #tvdsb

It's not hard making learning fun (or real) when the school is a nice, leisurely, 10 minute walk to the grocery store on a beautiful October day. The kid learned how to get there safely. Spell/braille 10 fruits & veggies. And touch the real thing. This is Experiential Learning.

Group Drawing Challenge: draw a house without touching the marker. It must include a roof, door, and 2 windows. Great collaborative discussion with a few laughs @MACEaglesLondon this afternoon!

Ss worked together on their first STEM challenge of the year! Whichever group makes the tallest structure wins! The cups weren’t allowed to touch (hence the popsicle sticks) I definitely challenged them but they are very eager to try again tomorrow!

It wouldn’t be the first week without the mat challenge in #7/8P @MACEaglesLondon - adding obstacles for round 2 made for an interesting challenge for students

No matter where you're from, what language you speak at home...or how well you can see...everyone is welcomed at @MACEaglesLondon. This mural was created by a student in @ECharbonneau6's class who took the time to make sure the braille was perfect. Kid, it's absolutely spot on.

Thank you to the Ride to Thrive program @LdnCycleLink for the amazing program you ran @MACEaglesLondon Not only were the students taught about safely riding their bike but some of the students even received a bicycle. Can’t thank you enough! #tvdsb

It’s a piece of cake! Ss mixed 3D math and art to create these delicious looking desserts @MACEaglesLondon . They turned out beautifully! Looking forward to more food-related art in my future.

Independent Living Skills lessons can always be made into something special...for sure, with a peer, social interaction/teamwork happens. But, if the goal also allows your student to show gratitude to someone who's been in their corner since Day 1, they walk away with much more.

Grade 1/2 got a bit messy in science today (and loved it)! We used paper towels to test absorbency, observed how well we could see through liquids to judge their transparency, and then completed the captivating viscosity race! 👏👏 @TVDSB_STEM @TVDSB @MACEaglesLondon
