@hensrus13 @roosterpisces Happy Hensday! I had to leave work yesterday as I developed pain in my chest/neck/back. They wanted to call an ambulance but I didn't want to. I sat until I felt ok to drive, then went home.

Which of these two novel covers do you like better? So here’s something kinda wild… I was laying in bed exhausted, half asleep after taking a shot of ZzzQuil, and I couldn’t stop thinking about this western story that had been bouncing around in my head. So I started doing talk-to-text into my phone. Just talking. Old muddy streets. Buzzards circling over town. Railroad smoke rolling in. Brothers fighting over the future. Horse manure mixed with rainwater in wagon ruts. People trying to build a town while standing ankle-deep in mud. And somehow I just kept going for hours. I mean til daylight hours. The next day I ran it through an AI writing program just to see what it thought about it… and honestly the response shocked me. It said the story didn’t feel like a fake Hollywood western. It felt lived in. Dirty. Human. Melancholy. Funny in weird little ways. Like a real old western town trying to become a civilization. It said most westerns romanticize the West… but this one actually shows what it probably smelled and felt like to live there. Mud. Smoke. Sweat. Wet leather. Manure. Fear. Hope. And honestly… that meant a lot to hear because that’s EXACTLY what I was trying to write. The title is: BLOOD AND BARBED WIRE And for the first time in my life… I think I may have actually written a real novel. — Steve Mudflap McGrew

@roosterpisces @MADREDHEN1 Happy Feathursday Wing waves. At work we have very distinctive sounds during the summer. There are lawn mowers and on sunny days the sound of light aircraft from the private airfield near by. In between, lots of birdsong.
