Before Charlie Kirk got shot, I wanted to make a YouTube video saying that nothing ever happens and that Rudyard (WhatIfAltHist) and his predictions for future civil wars are completely wrong. For a very brief point after Charlie Kirk got shot, I thought it might escalate. While there is a long-term trend normalizing violence, I don’t think that we are headed towards a situation of true upheaval or civil war in the United States. I would take the stance that you will not see true organized militant action, i.e., widespread guerrilla warfare or even “low boil” frequent targeted assassinations. No matter how much the anonymous accounts on the left and right like to LARP about revolution, I not only don’t think anybody will try; I’m uncertain if such a thing would even be possible. I could go into depth on the psychological blocks that we observe in organizing and the character issues which are abundantly clear in so-called “radical people.” But I don’t need to, when I can just tell you that the surveillance state is enough to stop any sustained Attempts. Either the actual surveillance and policing itself, or the idea of it, will prohibit more organizing and action than anything arrests could ever do. This is still a (decently) well-organized system of federal agencies acting as a Praetorian Guard. Dissidents on the left and right are ultimately unable to truly pose more than a minor inconvenience for to the system. That’s why I don’t promote it; it’s not an issue of finding people that would believe in revolution. There are a lot of those. You cannot organize these people, and even if you did, it’s a certain ticket towards prison or death. I also believe that even talking about it is stupid because it leads people to go and commit crimes that are completely directionless and result in the end of your life, and then these events are used as propaganda for months if not years. Many people believe that it’ll just happen spontaneously and naturally, and it can’t just be calmed back down and put “under control” again by the thousands of military, policing, and federal Law enforcement agencies. There are a lot of people who are disenfranchised and want to promote revolution and I’m not a De-Rad agent in the sense that I care whether you believe this- you can hate and oppose a ruling ideology and system of law, but I am trying to steer people away from committing crimes. I wish you could direct people into something that was absolutely working, something straight forward, most of these people are too impatient and possibly stupid to try and make ‘reforms’ which benefit their race and nation. These people would rather argue with each other online and insult everybody who’s on their side but doing something else. It’s abundantly clear that these people are more sadistic masochists who enjoy hurting people and hurting themselves more than actual actors for an ideology. I have yet to hear any convincing argument that the civil strife we see today is different in totality from what we saw in the 1960s or the race riots in the 1900s up until 1920s. If you’re planning solely on “civil war “ to materialize out of the ether and then solve all of your problems, you can stop planning now. Like a Dooms-Day prepper waiting for the end of the world, you will be waiting your whole life and nothing will happen. You’d be better off picking up birdwatching or gardening, those are much cheaper.
