I was on a Tesla audio space here on X today and got in an argument with a Tesla skeptic. He says how smooth your AI is at driving doesn’t matter. I am on the Freeway as I type this. It does. And you need a lot of data to get there. Get a ride in a Tesla and a Waymo or an NVIDIA and you tell m me.

gototom.blogspot.com/2025/10/the-hi… Religion has been an integral part of human existence almost since the dawn of consciousness. It has shaped societies, inspired art and architecture, motivated philosophical inquiry, triggered conflicts, and comforted billions through life’s uncertainties. This article offers a high-level overview of how religion has evolved across time and geography. 📜 Prehistoric and Ancient Roots In prehistoric times, humans likely practiced animism and ancestor worship, seeing spirits in nature and venerating those who came before. The earliest archaeological evidence—such as burial rituals, cave paintings, and figurines—suggests ritualistic behavior as far back as 40,000 years ago. By the Bronze and Iron Ages (circa 3000 BCE onward), organized polytheistic systems emerged in Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Indus Valley, and China. These traditions included pantheons of gods, mythologies, temple worship, and priestly classes. ✡️ Birth of Major Monotheisms Around the first millennium BCE, a shift toward ethical monotheism appears in the world’s spiritual narrative: Judaism: One of the earliest religions to emphasize a single, universal God, Judaism consolidated during exile periods in Israel and Babylon. Zoroastrianism: In ancient Persia, Zoroaster preached a dualistic cosmology (Ahura Mazda vs. Angra Mainyu) and an ethical path toward truth and righteousness. Hinduism and Upanishads: In Vedic India, religious thought began evolving into more philosophically rich traditions, spawning ideas of Brahman (cosmic principle) and Atman (self). Buddhism & Jainism: Reacting to ritualism, reform movements in India like Jainism and Buddhism emphasized nonviolence, meditation, and liberation from suffering (nirvana or moksha). ✝️ The Spread of Christianity & Islam Christianity, emerging in the 1st century CE from Jewish tradition, became a dominant force in the Roman Empire and beyond through missionary activity, councils, and state patronage. Over time it fractured into multiple branches (Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Protestantism). Islam, founded in the 7th century CE by the Prophet Muhammad, introduced a direct, scriptural monotheism with the Qur’an as the revealed text. It expanded rapidly across the Arabian Peninsula, North Africa, Iberia, Persia, South Asia, and beyond, blending universalism with vernacular cultures. 🌍 Religion in Late Antiquity & the Middle Ages During the Middle Ages, religion was deeply entwined with governance, education, and social order. In Europe, the Catholic Church controlled moral, legal, and intellectual life. In the Islamic Golden Age, scholars flourished in science, philosophy, and theology under faith-based patronage. In Asia, Buddhist, Hindu, Confucian, and Taoist traditions coexisted, competed, and syncretized.

🇺🇸 Trump is considering privatizing airport security operations handled by the TSA in an effort to save money. The White House budget, unveiled yesterday, proposes cutting funding by $52 million and would require small airports to enroll in a program where TSA pays for private screeners. Source: Reuters

🇺🇸 Americans had to take off their shoes at airport security for 20 years because of one guy with explosives in his sneakers. The TSA quietly ended that policy last July. Then the DHS supposedly buried a report which found TSA scanners cannot effectively screen shoes. Senator Tammy Duckworth is now demanding the policy be reversed. Socks sliding on cold airport floors might be making a comeback. Unfortunately. Source: Just The News

MACAO, SHENZHEN & HONG KONG: Three cities that absolutely blew me away and changed the way I see the world. A former village that became one of the wealthiest places on earth. gototom.blogspot.com/2026/04/macao-… A fishing town in 1979 that transformed into one of the most advanced megacities on the planet in under 50 years. A tiny rock of land that carved out one of the most extraordinary financial empires in human history. Meeting a local in Macao who took me under her wing changed everything, suddenly I was experiencing the city the way it was meant to be seen. But the thing that truly blew my mind? These three wildly different worlds are separated by just a few kilometres. Same corner of the planet, completely different realities. Like a real life science experiment in human civilisation. Nothing could have prepared me for what I found. @HarryJaggard

gototom.blogspot.com/2025/11/histor… Early life and business career Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York, the fourth of five children of real-estate developer Fred Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. He grew up in the affluent Jamaica Estates neighborhood and attended New York Military Academy, where he was described as competitive and focused on winning. Trump began college at Fordham University before transferring to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1968 with a degree in economics. In 1971 he took over his father’s company, rebranding it as the Trump Organization and shifting its focus more aggressively into high-profile Manhattan real estate, casinos, hotels, and later golf courses and luxury branding deals. His business record has been a mixture of big, attention-grabbing projects with huge success, and a few projects that had problems. Several Trump-branded casinos and hotels went through bankruptcy proceedings. Overall President Trump is a fantastic businessman and is a billionaire. He is the "billionaire for the people" ... Building the Trump brand and reality TV Trump’s most valuable long-term asset became his personal brand. He published The Art of the Deal in 1987, presenting himself as a master negotiator and dealmaker. WHHA (en-US) In 2004 he became host and executive producer of the reality TV show The Apprentice, where contestants competed for a job in his organization. The show was a ratings hit, made his “You’re fired” catchphrase famous, and turned Trump into a household name far beyond New York real estate. Licensing his name for everything from buildings to steaks to universities became a major part of his business model, even as some ventures collapsed or led to lawsuits and settlements, such as those involving Trump University.
