Today, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria proudly joins the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day. It is a moment to honor women’s achievements and renew our commitment to creating greater opportunities for their advancement. This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” underscores the importance of investing in people, fostering inclusive environments, and harnessing talent wherever it exists. Across Nigeria, women are driving growth in manufacturing as entrepreneurs, innovators, professionals, and leaders. Their contributions strengthen businesses, create jobs, and enhance our nation’s productive capacity. Yet, unlocking their full potential requires deliberate action. Access to finance, infrastructure, markets, and networks remains essential for women-led enterprises to scale and compete. Recognizing this, MAN established the Women in Manufacturing Unit (WIMAN) to promote mentorship, collaboration, and opportunities across the value chain. Progress is collective. Governments must strengthen supportive policies, financial institutions must expand access to capital, industry leaders must build inclusive workplaces, and men must champion environments where women thrive. On this International Women’s Day, MAN celebrates the women shaping Nigeria’s manufacturing sector and reaffirms its commitment to an industrial ecosystem where talent and opportunity flourish. We truly value our Women. Happy International Women’s Day! Segun Ajayi-Kadir, mni Director General, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN)
