Everything is more expensive. I never paid attention till a few years ago- yes- very luxurious to not have to pay attention - but holy crap!!! If we really wanted to address athletic participation issues in Iowa, we would focus on classification by each activity, just as every sports club does, rather than putting a band-aid on the problem (and creating other problems) by adding 8th graders to more varsity sports.
