You're making a good point, but OKLCH and OKLab are actually the same color space, just expressed in different coordinates. Think of it like Celsius and Fahrenheit, both measure the same temperature, just differently. Chrome DevTools, Adobe and all major color tools also use independent L, C, H sliders. I really appreciate you bringing this up though. It's a great question!

@MAQIB135 But when adjusting the colors, it should use OKLab. Otherwise it's just LCH

@andupoto Actually, if we don’t use 120+ colors, it won’t be possible to achieve a smoother look. That’s why.

@MAQIB135 png will work for me, the svg thing was more for you. I'm sure Claude would find a way. :)

@designbypepo The sliders are intentionally independent: changing Hue doesn’t automatically adjust Chroma because that’s how OKLCH works. OKLab is used behind the scenes to create smooth gradient blends between your two colors.

@MAQIB135 when changing Hue, I notice it doesn't adjust chroma automatically? So it's not using Oklab right?

@MAQIB135 Yes it would be good. I'd like to add it as a background to a video canvas, and link to it so people can make their own too. These sizes would be ideal: 4x3 3x4 1x1 16:9 9:16
