So happy to kick off the 70th anniversary of the Discover Boating New England Boat Show! 🛥️🚤 It's on us to keep our waterfronts safe, clean and accessible — for both our residents who enjoy time on the water and for our boating businesses!

Our Administration is here to partner with and invest in our maritime economy! We’re supporting the state’s working waterfronts, local tourism, coastal climate resiliency, and maritime innovation by funding over $16 million for 21 projects through our capital grant program! Congratulations to all the grant awardees and Seaport Economic Council members who were sworn in today!

A stronger, more coordinated approach to the maritime economy. The new Seaport Economic Council met for the first time today. The modernized council better aligns state investments, programs, and policies with the needs of coastal communities, maritime industries, and the working waterfronts that power Massachusetts’ blue economy. Their first official act of business was approving more than $16 million in FY26 Seaport Economic Council grants supporting coastal communities statewide. #TeamMA

Secretary Eric Paley made another coffee stop while on the Cape – this time at Three Fins Coffeehouse & Cacao Factory in Chatham. Supporting local businesses (and grabbing great coffee) is a great part of touring the state during his first few months on the job. Three Fins is both a coffee roaster and a cacao maker, producing small-batch coffee and bean-to-bar chocolate.

@abbvie is investing $70 million to expand its Bioresearch Center in Worcester, strengthening Central Massachusetts as a global hub for biomanufacturing. The project will create new jobs, increase biologics manufacturing for oncology and immunology medicines, and build on AbbVie’s three-decade presence in Massachusetts. Secretary Eric Paley is on a mission to try as many local coffee shops as he can across Massachusetts. In Middlesex County, he stopped by Tree House Coffee in Tewksbury, the coffee arm of Tree House Brewing where they roast their own beans on site. What local coffee shops should Secretary Paley visit next on his travels? #TeamMA
