It simply assumes a pattern will continue at the same rate, in this instance it took the pattern from Rotherham and other areas. Id say the numbers given are fair.

Cool to see all these lesser nations getting their first win, first knockout win etc at the World Cup. But it all feels a bit meaningless with the expansion to 48 teams. Canada are never getting out of a group in a 32 team World Cup.

@MASTERrageBATER @RobbieSnipe @JeffVeillette Exactly how it works. They aren’t top 16 ranked in the world, sure they are one of the 16 LEFT in the tournament. Morocco and Netherlands play against each other in the round of 32. Both are top 16 for sure. One won’t make it to the next round though.

Here's a crazy fact: In in April 2017, when Canada announced they were going to submit a bid to co-host this World Cup, the men's team was ranked 109th in the world. One hundred and ninth. Our two most recent wins at the time of bidding were against Bermuda and Maurtania.
