Honour is not poor theology, sir. Our kingdom is hinged on hierarchy & honour. If you don’t get it, that’s fine. There are also so many people that have been healed under Pastor Jerry’s ministry. He is not God. Where healing is concerned, there are just so many factors involved.

The poor theology here is a believer kneeling before another believer for prayers. Going on his knees before Jerry is a distasteful theology. Miracles are not wrought by men and these so called men of God have created a theology of superiority over others. They market miracles and attribute them to their power and/or anointing. This is why people attribute failures to them as well. You cannot claim to heal anonymous cases but cannot heal a well known case. The people are not to blame but the miracle vendors who go very far in their desperation to deceive people that they arrange fake miracles.

The controversy surrounding this video is a function of our poor theology in this part of the world. People cannot literally understand why someone will still die after being prayed for by a pastor! We have projected the gospel of convenience for too long; the idea of a god that does everything as we want and not according to his perfect will. Either we die or live, we are the Lords! A man who dies in the Lord did not loose anything! Death is nothing! Cancer is nothing! Sickness is nothing! Christ is everything! If this prayer helped him to go through his difficult season with grace and hope, that would have been sufficient! Brethren, Christ is our everything! We are not disadvantaged! He is always faithful, always!
