HERE IS MY ORIGINAL DRAFT OF THE TESLA FSD STORY IN MY OWN WORDS...You can be the judge. Feel free to check with the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC, I am a
Vietnam Vet and I assure you this is NOT fake news.
On April 1, Tesla unlocked full self-driving to every Tesla in America. The next day, at 2:00 am, due to a malfunction in my insulin pump, I found myself extremely with dehydration, a blood glucose level of 670, and dry heaving when I drank any water! So I went out to my Model Y at 2:30 in the morning and tried out this new way of driving. I double-clicked on my steering column stalk and proceeded to have my mind blown!
The car took me 13 miles from my home to the VA ER with NO help from me. The car offered to automatically park my car and allowed me to immediately check in and start my medical attention! I ended up with a mild heart attack but left with no restrictions on my exercise program. I know there are many naysayers and haters, but having owned Porsches, Mercedes BMWs, Acuras, and Cadillacs. This is by far the most amazing car I have ever "driven". This may have saved my life.
It's the difference between a phone and a smartphone.
I live in a solar-powered home and charge at home. The cost of fuel for the last 7000 miles is $130. Thanks, Elon, know you're on the spectrum and so am I.

My Crazy True Story
On April 1st, Tesla unlocked Full Self-Driving capability for all Tesla vehicles in America. In a moment of dire need, at 2:00 am the following morning, I found myself grappling with severe dehydration and a blood glucose level of 670 due to a malfunction in my insulin pump. With no time to spare, I turned to my Model Y for assistance. Engaging the new Full Self-Driving feature with a simple double click on the steering column stalk, I was astounded by the results. Without any intervention, the car skillfully navigated the 13-mile journey from my home to the VA Emergency Room, offering to autonomously park it upon arrival and let me seek immediate medical attention. Despite enduring a mild heart attack, I left the hospital with no restrictions on my exercise regimen, a testament to the swift and efficient response facilitated by the vehicle and the # 1 VA in America. As an owner of luxury vehicles including Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Acura, and Cadillac, I can unequivocally declare Tesla the pinnacle of automotive innovation today. Its lifesaving capabilities in critical moments underscore its superiority. The leap from traditional vehicles to Tesla's Full Self-Driving functionality is like upgrading from a basic phone to a smartphone. As a resident of a solar-powered home, the cost of energy for the last 7000 miles has been minimal, I've saved nearly $1000. I extend my gratitude to Elon Musk for his crazy erratic leadership in advancing technology that is more than just transportation. As someone who shares Elon's place "on the spectrum", I am particularly appreciative of his commitment to excellence and innovation. He has profoundly impacted our world and personally impacted my own. Thanks, Tesla, and thanks, Charles George VA Medical Center team!

@PaulLorentz1 @david_lee The VA Medical Center was preprogrammed on my Tesla map favorites since I go there several times a month.

@MAXPAULFRANKLIN @david_lee The article does not say how the car knew where to go.

@david_lee I'm glad to be above ground and plan to live to be 96! I live life with velocity!

@MAXPAULFRANKLIN Thank you Max. That certainly helps to explain it. Appreciate the in-depth response. What an experience that must have been.

In my 35 years as a type 1 diabetic, I have passed out twice, the last time being 10 years ago in France. However, I have experienced severe dehydration multiple times. I have called 911 before but ended up not using their services due to delays and a $4700 bill.
That night, a friend was awake and aware that I was headed to the ER, staying available by phone. If I felt there was a chance of passing out, I would have pulled over and let her know. It was 2:00 in the morning with very little traffic on the road, and my decision was based on 78 years of life experience. I walk a 5K every other day and don't consider myself inactive. This emergency was caused by bubbles in my insulin pump, which delivered air instead of insulin, causing my blood sugar levels to spike.
At the time, I wasn’t sure how Full Self-Driving (FSD) worked and was merely using the stalk for cruise control. To my surprise, the car took over. I was in shock but let it drive, and the rest is history. Now, I have full self-driving and can't imagine a safer way to drive.
