bostonglobe.com/2026/04/07/met… This is a damning indictment of the Norfolk DA's Office, whether it be corruption and/or incompetence. Farwell was the obvious prime suspect, based on his sexual abuse of a minor and his presence at the scene immediately before the victim was found dead. They missed and ignored electronic evidence. They catered to Farwell during the interview process. They ignored scientific and common sense facts which strongly suggested homicide rather than suicide. And their failure to seriously attempt to obtain a DNA sample (even through surreptitious means) from Farwell coupled with proof that his DNA was on the ligature is shocking. Just an epic failure.

imagine failing to even test the ligature, let alone seek a buccal swab from the obvious suspect. Any competent prosecutor acting as an honest broker would have tested the ligature, discovered "unknown male donor" DNA and taken the obvious steps from there. This is DA 101 in a possible homicide with the red flags that existed here. The incompetence (or worse) of this investigation is disgraceful. Voters will remember this. The in-house candidate should be vigorously questioned about this failure. Was he consulted? Involved? What would he have done different? What will he do differently if elected?

It’s rather obvious that the only reason Greg Connor & Morrissey refuse to charge Farewell is that their own people will be implicated in misconduct. There’s no other explanation

@MA_Recall @mauiswifter You are still doing this? FFS. What witness said that John O'Keefe went into the Garage. Name one. Hint, it won't even include Karen. So your garage theory isn't backed by ANY testimony, evidence, or data AT ALL. Not even brough up, yet you think this is what happened. Why?

@mauiswifter @Dan_Donovan_17 Too bad Julie Albert never fact checked that Dunkin Donuts was even open on the morning of Jan 29, 2022. According to their head office, there were zero sales made at both Canton locations on that day..both were closed due to the storm. Where did Julie get those donuts again?

@MA_Recall @Dan_Donovan_17 Karen Read is the only one who has lied and provided different accounts of what happened the night she killed John O'Keefe. Keep up.

"Farwell made other attempts to lead people to believe that Birchmore died by suicide. Two witnesses separately disclosed that, in the months after Birchmore's death, while Farwell was on leave from the police department, Farwell purported to reenact Birchmore's death. According to witness disclosures, at a small private gathering, an intoxicated Farwell was discussing Birchmore's death. During that discussion, Farwell sat down under a doorknob and demonstrated the position in which Birchmore was found, assuring the skeptical witnesses that it was possible for someone to commit suicide in that manner. At the time, it had not been publicly revealed that Birchmore was found hanging from a doorknob." - Federal Government's Supplemental Memorandum in Support of Detention Filed 4/6/26 Justice for Sandra Birchmore 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

@Dan_Donovan_17 It must’ve been difficult for the defense since they weren’t getting any discovery from the prosecution. The good news is there is no statute of limitations on murder.

@Dan_Donovan_17 That’s funny because in the first trial of the DA was adamant it was 12:25. Why is such a significant change? What changed between the first trial and the second trial?

@Dan_Donovan_17 So when did Karen hit him? Matt McCabe said she did a three-pointer but that proved to be false. At what point did she pull her SUV forward 60 feet and then gun it backwards?🤣 Sounds believable.

@MA_Recall Well the door clearly opened at some point as John got out of the SUV. He wasn't found in the SUV. Everyone has testified that John was found on the lawn and not the SUV.

So we’re just… not going to mention any of this? Tim Taylor, who left his dog in a vehicle all day resulting in its death… and was rewarded with paid time off? The part in which they blocked off the police department so no one would see what happened? The part where a superior officer...Paul Digiempietro used taxpayer money to quietly have that same vehicle cleaned? And, minor detail, that money only got paid back after an audit was underway… and after an information request forced it into the light? Timing is everything, right? But sure… No corruption. No issues. Nothing to see here Funny how the things that only get fixed when someone is watching… somehow don’t count. Almost like the audit didn’t find problems. It just happened to arrive right when people suddenly remembered how to correct them. But yeah… tell us again how everyone is just “mad because they wanted a conspiracy.” Lets not get into the higgins missing footage that was held on to for a year...
Mama Llama@MamaLama43

We talked about this on The @fourensicroom show last night—how furious the Canton crazies were when the very auditors they demanded the town hire (at a cost of $200K) didn’t give them the outcome they wanted. They found No corruption. No conspiracy. Instead, the auditors praised Canton PD’s actions—including the leaf blower—and supported Jen McCabe’s 911 call. These are the same people who should’ve been celebrating their town. Instead, they were SO angry… because they WANTED a conspiracy.

Greg Connor has been a part of the Sandra Birchmore cover up and Karen Read persecution. Both investigations were intentionally tanked to protect the involvement of law enforcement officers. @adamdeitch is the candidate not beholden to anyone and he will clean up the corruption.
BoozeyBeauty@BoozeyBeauty

New federal filings in the death of Sandra Birchmore are exposing deeply troubling issues in how the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office handled her case, and this is unfolding as Greg Connor, who has served as Chief Trial Counsel under Michael Morrissey, is now running to lead that same office. According to those filings, critical forensic evidence existed at the time her death was ruled a suicide, including DNA on the ligature and biological evidence that went untested. Evidence of that nature goes directly to cause and manner of death, yet it was not pursued before a suicide determination was made. That raises serious questions about how the case was evaluated, what decisions were made, and how such significant evidence was not acted on. Connor has spent nearly a decade as Chief Trial Counsel, a position at the top of the courtroom side of the office. That role involves leading major felony prosecutions, advising on complex and high risk cases, and serving as a senior authority prosecutors rely on when critical decisions are being made. It places you squarely within the leadership structure while cases like this are being handled and reviewed. At the same time, Connor was included in internal 2024 email exchanges regarding Michael Proctor’s first phone extraction, communications that later revealed credibility issues involving a key investigator in another major case. Inclusion in those exchanges reflects visibility into internal matters that go directly to the integrity of investigations coming through the office. Taken together, this reflects a senior trial leader inside the Norfolk DA’s Office during a case where highly significant forensic evidence was not tested before a suicide ruling, while also being looped into internal communications tied to investigator credibility concerns in a separate high profile matter. That combination places leadership directly within the timeline of both issues. This is not about one isolated case. This is about how decisions were made, how evidence was handled, and how leadership operated during moments that are now under serious scrutiny. Seemingly, as Morrissey’s right hand man in the office, Connor has a lot to explain.. but regardless, that type of leadership is not one that should be running a county’s prosecutorial system.
