I would LOVE to own my own hardware and go nuts on it but too expensive!
All my experiments are done in the cloud and making it only CPU oriented, can’t even afford cloud GPU.

the amount of people saying "just use an API bro" when it comes to LLMs is insane
i get it, not everyone's into gpus or hardware; but do these people realize that we're in an era where Software Engineers are legit SCARED of hardware?
everything's "in the cloud" now, vendors are locking people in with 10x+ margins and no one bats an eye
do you really want Sam Altman and his buddies deciding how much you'll pay for API access in the future?
