Question for @TheCurrentCBC Once a resident is placed (forced) in a long term care facility that is not their choosing. How easy is it for a resident to change to a different home? Is there a mechanism to facilitate “transfer” between homes

Every time I take the bus in Ottawa I feel stressed - checking GPS timing, rushing for transfers that are very tight. For my neighbours that have no other choice but to rely on transit, it cannot be fun.
Ironically I thought I might have time to #crochet while enjoying the ride

I’m lucky I have an employer that is understanding with flexible hrs. But if there was a hard deadline (plane, exam, doctor’s appointment, daycare pickup), I’m not sure I would risk using transit UNLESS I had the luxury to leave an extra 45 min early - just in case.

Ah.. yes.. within 4 mins of being on @OC_Transpo I realize why so many people are frustrated w/ this system. Trying to catch the “2” at Heron. Hustle to get from 2A to 4A, see bus, flag it so I cross (jog) ahead of it at the pedestrian walkway, then jog to 4A, turn to catch it /

This raised sewer grate is a hazard for bicyclists on Walkely road. At the bottom of the hill & cars do not leave space for a bike to adjust (which would be needed so as not to crash) The pylons used to be there but have been moved off of the road. @RiverWardRiley @ottawacity

@FBorgal Have you heard about using wax on chains instead of oil? It was suggested to me for winter but seems like it really preserves the chain as well (& cheaper than a belt drive). if I can find someone who will do it for me, I would totally consider it. In theory it’s simple…
