But towards the end of the program, he later announced that after consulting with his fellow senators, they are cancelling the said hearing in deference, or out of respect, to the victims of the Mindanao earthquake.

As per the Office of Senator Rodante Marcoleta, he announced in a television program Monday night, that the next Blue Ribbon Committee hearing would indeed push through on Thursday.
