Often, schools are [over?]eager to assist students in avoiding SEND-related challenges, but put nothing in place for equivalent adults, or require the adult to repeatedly request an accommodation.
I just wonder at what age they expect someone to grow out of e.g. autism.

I find it really interesting seeing how differently schools approach supports and accommodations for students with SEND versus support and accommodations for staff with the same so-called barriers.

Whilst I do feel like the blazer-and-tie combo is a sort of rite of passage, if they had to be scrapped, I'd like the system the Girl Scouts have where you can pick from a whole range of items and what you personally go for is almost up to you.

@MBDscience I am very pleased for you but I can’t help thinking book scrutiny is a flawed accountability measure.

We had book scrutiny today. One of the foci was 'is there a disparity between the work completed by our inclusion students - PP, FSM, SEND - and non-inclusion students'.
Unfortunately, my books got flagged.
Fortunately, it was because my inclusion students had done more work.

I was supposed to have a medical appointment this afternoon. I asked for confirmation if it was in-person or by phone. Confirmed as in-person. Ask for leave, set cover, shlep to the surgery.

Ask Receptionist if she had any idea when I might be seen.
Get told Doctor isn't on-site today and she'll call me later.
School would have finished 20 minutes ago and I haven't had the appointment yet.

@MBDscience My father in law used to run it (was keeper of the exhibit). Most of the stuff written there is still his, he bought most of the planes in etc.
He has extraordinary knowledge
