Was grabbing a couple of waters, Zyn and an energy drink at the gas station. There was a crazy line, and when I finally got to the front, I realized I had left my wallet and phone in my truck. African gentleman (Nigerian, I suspect) behind me says “I got it”, puts his snacks on the counter and pays for it. The total was around $24, and mine was probably about $17 of that. Completely shocked and appreciative of this stranger’s kindness, I asked him for his number so I could send him some money. He was adamant that he didn’t want anything and refused to let me give him anything. He was in his work car, so I snapped a pic of his company’s name and phone number and looked it up online. I then called ICE and gave them this info.
