👏 A huge thank you to Mr Squires for organising the activities this week and to all of the staff who have helped to make this possible. 😁 We hope you all had a great time and made some lasting memories. We're really excited to see you all in school in September!

All week, our new Year 7 students have been taking part in activity days ahead of starting with us in September. 🌤 It has been a fantastic week, and a great opportunity to take on new challenges, make new friends and have lots of fun in a beautiful part of the world! 🛶

Students have the opportunity to gather data, produce graphs,  then  analyse and evaluate their findings. Students are then asked to make recommendations based on their findings; for example, the best place to locate new picnic benches, which they must fully justify.

Over the last couple of weeks, the Geography department have been taking both yr7 & year 8 students out into the school grounds to have a go at a variety of fieldwork techniques. The picture is an example of some Y8 students trying 'field sketching' for the first time.

Parents/carers of new starters, please check your email/messages for a link to an extra video that has been recorded by your child's form tutor for September. We are really looking forward to meeting you all in September. 😊

The students got to work on various contemporary techniques, learnt some of Matthew’s choreography that he’s recently performed in Europe and then he set them a creative task around his work.

Our Y10 dance students had the opportunity to take part in a 2 hour zoom workshop with Matthew Rawcliffe - BBC Young Contemporary Dancer of the Year 2019, choreographer and professional dancer. #proudtobeMBA @mjamesrawcliffe
